Who etc.

I’m a current tech founder and former graduate student in philosophy and theology.

Across a few startups, I’ve done things like: hire incredible people; attempt to foster humane company culture; and build or shepherd technology and community that touches quite a lot of the internet’s video. I’ve also built three businesses to eight-figure-revenue scale and raised absurd amounts of money at “unicorn” valuations from top investors.

Before that, I studied philosophy and theology and history as an undergraduate and a grad student.

I’ve been writing quietly for a little while about humanity and technology, and I’ve been sneaking Aristotle and Orwell and Beethoven into tech conference talks since 2008. For the sake of the world, the domains of technology and humanities need to spend more time together.
